The Roof is done

This week they have finished the roof. So now it really looks like our house and is starting to seem more and more real. We are so happy with the colour of the roof and are looking forward to see how it will look once the bricks at the front of the house have been bagged and painted.
The builder has told us that this week they will start the rough out for the electrical and plumbing, i have no idea what that means, But as long as there is progress that is all i need to know.
We can't wait to see how things look once the Gyprock starts to up too.

The Bricks are finished, woohoo. They have finally got it all done. Now we just need to get the roof up and our weather worries are behind us. We have a new supervisor who has given us an estimated time of when it might be finished. But no guarantees. We are starting to pack to move to a new temporary place till the house is ready. So much going on but it is great to see such progress on the house

The Brickies are working hard

This week the bricks have started to go up, and we are really happy with the colour we chose. It is such a gamble when you only see a small portion of bricks to know how it will look on a whole house. They should hopefully have the bricks finished on Monday. Then they will get started on the roof. Once the roof is on it really should not be too long as they won't have to take the weather into consideration. Hope you like the photos :)

So it is the end of another weekend. Not a lot has happened on "our Block of Land" as ethan says. They have leveled out the front yard, so it looks like we won't need a retaining wall in the front. Also the Bricks were delivered on Wednesday last week. They have set up a fuse box and they should be ready to start laying the bricks. We are hoping the bricks will start this week. Then the roof should go on and it will really look like our home.
It is so exciting to watch each stage and know that soon we will be in our dream home, so fingers crossed there will not be too much rain over the next few weeks till it is bricked and roofed. Then I'm not so worried. I hope to add some more photos this week of the brickwork being done.
