We have Windows

The house is coming along really quickly, this week we got the frame up, and now we have most of the windows in as well. It is so exciting to see things happening so quickly. Hubby met some of the neighbours who are building behind us as well. So it is really starting to feel more like our new home. The kids are having a ball wondering around and seeing where everything will be. Ethan was so excited to know where his new bedroom will be. I will put up some more photos of the last two days progress

It is starting to look more like a house. Yesterday the frame was delivered and today they made a great start on getting the frame up. They have even started on the roof trusses. I have taken heaps of photos and here are a few. Georgia had a ball looking around and going from room to room through the walls, lucky there isn any gyprock yet :)

Where we are today

So as of today we are waiting on the frame being delivered next week. It should go up in 1 to 2 days. Then they will either put the roof on or do the bricks. It depends on which tradesman are available. So fingers crossed it will start to look more like a house next week.

And So this is how it started

Last Year we decided that we would build a house. We bought the block of land and then spent several months planning on who to build with, which house would be best, and what we wanted for our future. This is not an easy task. It is quite daunting to think about what we want for the next 10 or 20 years. But we made our decision and here we are today. Watching as our dream developes in front of our eyes. I hope you enjoy seeing the photos and reading my blogs, im not very creative so you will have to bare with me.

We are building our dream home with McDonald Jones Homes, it is the Monte Carlo. So I will add some photos of where we started and where we are today.
